DANISH DOX:AWARD
Danish Dox Award is CPH:DOX's new competition programme for the best Danish documentaries. The competition was founded in cooperation with the Danish Producers' Association to support both national and international attention towards the diversity and artistic developments in contemporary Danish documentary filmmaking. The competition is made up of 11 brand new films. From new talents right out of film school to well established names on the international documentary scene. In terms of genres, the selection spans from political analysis and reportage in films such as '69' and 'The Arab Initiative' over philosophical essay in 'Everything is Relative' to the more formally experimental works such as Niels Plenge's 'Screening' and Steen Møller Rasmussens 'Long Bien Bridge'. Danish documentary filmmaking is going through sweeping developments, and we hope that DANISH DOX AWARD can help support it.
The prize is worth euro 5000 and is sponsored by the Danish Producers' Association.
