Panel Talks, Seminars
DOX:FORUM was initiated to enhance international distribution of documentary films at a time when traditional distribution models were beginning to crumble and alternative strategies and dynamics were coming into focus. In its third year, the focus was on the growing challenges and possibilities for filmmakers and distributors alike.

Thom Powers and a panel of US market players had a talk in 'Navigating the US Market' about how emerging distribution models are changing the way films are produced, bought and sold and how US distributors are adapting to the new dynamics of media consumption.

Decision makers from major documentary funding organizations were in Copenhagen for ' Meet the Funds' where filmmakers and professionals alike had the great chance to get updated on what funds are looking for, what to avoid and how to make once project stand out.

Filmmaker Jon Reiss did an inspiring step-by step introduction on how to make the most of your rights in the new hybrid distribution models
